Things To Watch Out For With Small PC Dealers

 

There are several things to watch out for with small local PC dealers or computer stores, and this also includes those dealers that expand outside of specific counties or regions of your state. We don't want to see you get burned by small stores that talk big and do not deliver. Many of these stores put illegal copies of software products on their new and used computers and do not give you the original OEM disks. Some even go as far as burning copies of this illegal software and giving it to you with someone elses CD keys. In some instances, this software is burned on LightScribe disks, and is also shrink wrapped. This is software piracy. Do not use these stores for your purchases.

We have taken in many computer systems over the last several years with used or old parts that were supposed to be brand new according to the customer's receipt, and we also found illegal software installed on these machines as well. Be extremely careful with local dealers from any area that try to do this to you. Always ask for the original authentic OEM disks in their sealed packaging, and the packaging materials for any new parts installed on your computer system. If you don't receive these items, these stores are stealing from you, and they are also trying to illegally beat out their competition. Don't be taken advantage of by these computer stores.

If this happens to you, when you try to get updates for your software, you will find that you'll receive error messages, or you may even be blocked from receiving the updates and the service packs that may be needed to properly operate your software. Also be certain that you ask for your original OEM driver disks when purchasing a new PC. Don't take burned copies of any software from any computer store that you deal with. All to often, many compeditors in our area have taken their customers for a big long hard ride. Come to a place where you're not going to be fooled, and where the work that we do is fully guaranteed in writing.
